IT Project Manager

I'm spending my day off of work looking around for jobs and found this listed as the qualifications for an IT Project Manager at the Department of the Interior:
ALL qualified applicants for this position MUST possess one or more
years of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-13 level).
Specialized experience is defined as the performance of each of the
following duties for at least one year:
Demonstrated experience in project management planning principles and
processes sufficient to lead a national, multi-agency enterprise
architecture project. As well as demonstrated experience ensuring
that an enterprise architecture system will interface with existing
organizations' architectures and Federal Enterprise Architecture
initiatives. AND participation in establishing and/or maintaining
nationwide wild and fire management policies, standards, and
procedures.

I had no idea that business-speak had penetrated the government so deeply.
Here's another choice one:
responsibility includes identifying, analyzing,
synthesizing and packaging value-added information and research
solutions.

As though they'd actually prefer someone to do a job that yields value-decreased information. I think people are just using too many words in general.

Montana Police get the best calls

A friend sent me this link to the Bozeman, Montana police blotter. Erik, have you urinated off the sides of any buildings lately?

Where's all the good nerding?

It was pointed out to me last night that I write the vast majority of the posts to this blog. Is that true? It's the weekend, so I'm not doing any quantitative analysis to actually find out the perentages. Someone else write in to prove me wrong.
Claude, good party last night.
Mark, where was that picture taken? I want a cheesesteak.
Erik, the speedo thing was from an article about another kickball league in Brooklyn that played an inter-league game against WAKA and had a member who thought it was not-so-in-the=kickball-spirit of WAKA to enforce rules about him not being allowed to wear a speedo and just a speedo while he played (because this was "his thing"). The suggestion was made that you wear a speedo or fireman's outfit during our games. The person who suggested this immediately became ill as did the rest of us who read the suggestion. Thanks a lot. Jerk.

what a bunch of nerds

dude, no one told me this team had a BLOG when i signed up. and then the first entry is about star wars? and i thought you guys were cool. okay, fine, i too have a blog, and i'm going to star wars tonight. greg, you totally ruined 10 or so seconds of it for me, and i will never forgive you for that.

i think we found out which gender is better at flipcup wednesday.. boys rule, girls drool (especially if i am not wearing a shirt)

in conclusion, here is a funny picture of my hetero lifemate mark with a cheesesteak

Worst Dialogue Ever

Saw star wars last night. Worst dialogue ever, seriously. Por Ejemplo:
ANAKIN (to natalie portman/padme): You are so beautiful!
PADME: It's only because I'm so in love . . .
ANAKIN: No, it's because I'm so in love with you.
PADME: So love has blinded you?
ANAKIN: Well, that's not exactly what I meant . . .
PADME: But it's probably true!
They laugh.
ANAKIN: I haven't laughed in so long . . .
PADME: Neither have I.
I mean crap! Talk about monkeys at typewriters. It made me jealous of Rosanna for having fallen asleep two scenes earlier.

Yaaaahhhh....

Go blog, go go blog!! I missed this. It is the only time I really can communicate with Jorge! Although it was nice to see him last night, he needs to work on his kicking- not just his flip cuppin'!
Now, will someone fill me in on the speedo comments? I missed out on that email discussion.

New Location

Well, the old Rambo:First Balls site has officially been changed to the Ball in the Family Site. Now we just need to wait for the posting to begin... I'll start.
This is it.
The beginning.

Kittens

Today, Rosanna and I became the proud parents of these two fools:

The grey one shall be named Johnny Cash the white one shall be named by Rosanna.
Let's start using this blog again, folks. It's been hibernating for the winter and wants more pictures of people's pets posted to it.
