IT Project Manager
I'm spending my day off of work looking around for jobs and found this listed as the qualifications for an IT Project Manager at the Department of the Interior:
ALL qualified applicants for this position MUST possess one or more
years of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-13 level).
Specialized experience is defined as the performance of each of the
following duties for at least one year:
Demonstrated experience in project management planning principles and
processes sufficient to lead a national, multi-agency enterprise
architecture project. As well as demonstrated experience ensuring
that an enterprise architecture system will interface with existing
organizations' architectures and Federal Enterprise Architecture
initiatives. AND participation in establishing and/or maintaining
nationwide wild and fire management policies, standards, and
procedures.
I had no idea that business-speak had penetrated the government so deeply.
Here's another choice one:
responsibility includes identifying, analyzing,
synthesizing and packaging value-added information and research
solutions.
As though they'd actually prefer someone to do a job that yields value-decreased information. I think people are just using too many words in general.
